MISSION

GREATER HOPE CHURCH EXISTS TO MAKE DISCIPLES who glorify god and enjoy him forever.

VISION

We want to see Mulberry renewed by faith in Jesus Christ and growing through the use of the means of grace by the power of the Holy Spirit so that its people know, love, trust, delight in, and obey God in all of life now and forever.

At Greater Hope, we want to connect people to Jesus, His family, and show the love of Jesus in Mulberry.

GOSPEL

ROOTED IN THE GOOD NEWS OF WHO JESUS IS & WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US

The gospel is the liberating message of what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. It is good news. Not good advice. At Greater Hope Church, we want everything we say and do to be rooted in this life-changing message. We all need it everyday. It is the way we start a genuine relationship with God, and it is also the way we go deeper in that relationship. It is how we experience God’s forgiveness, and how we are transformed into people who follow Jesus in all of life. So what is the gospel?

COMMUNITY

GROWING IN CHRIST AS WE SHARE OUR LIVES TOGETHER

Sharing life together is one of the core values of Greater Hope Church. We can’t follow Jesus alone. We are called to share life together as His disciples. Believers share what they have with each other—abilities, time, resources. Following Jesus brings us together and fills us with love for one another. That means we know one another, care for one another’s needs, and grow together as Jesus’ disciples.

CITY

SHINING IN OUR CITY AND BEYOND

We don't want to be a church just for ourselves. We want to be a church in Mulberry that serves others. We believe discipleship involves every area of life, and so God’s calling for us is to not only build a good church but to invest what God has given each of us in helping make Mulberry a better place for everyone. We believe this means three things specifically: (1) we will tell others the good news that has changed our lives, (2) we will respond to God's love for us by doing deeds of compassionate mercy, and (3) we will pray and work for reconciliation in relationships in our community. We pray for a movement of gospel renewal in our city and beyond. As part of the Renew Polk network we participate in the work of church planting in Polk County, the state of Florida, nationally, and internationally. We believe that we are especially called to support church plants in small towns and cities like ours. By God’s grace, we hope to help recruit, train, and send people into this work.
